FNB ARTHROPLASTY : PROGRAMME OBJECTIVE


To develop skills in an Orthopedic Surgeon for Arthroplasty (Joint Replacement)

  • We aim to provide extensive experience in joint reconstruction surgery with an emphasis on a variety of issues and techniques.
  • To make the fellow to understand and implement proper clinical care of patients undergoing total joint arthroplasty.
  • To involve fellow in all facets of patient care, including clinic coverage and resident education in addition to intensive operating room experience.
  • To Increase fellow knowledge base of arthroplasty through cutting edge research and innovative technology. (ROBOTIC AND NAVIGATION TECHNOLOGY)

Aims of Training


  • Able to diagnose clinical disorders of the bones, joints and soft tissues; the pathogenesis of these disorders; the treatment modalities available for managing these disorders; and the results and complications of such treatment.
  • To perform major role in the continuing care of patients and have progressive responsibility in patient assessment, preoperative evaluation, operative experience, and postoperative management and rehabilitation.

Entry Criteria


Aspirant must possess post graduate degree in MS/DNB Orthopedic Surgery.

  • National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET SS)/CET SS - As per the scheme so prescribed by the National Board of Examinations. As on date the admission to all courses are undertaken on the basis of merit obtained in the entrance examination conducted by NBE followed by Centralized Counseling.

Duration Of Course


The course duration will be 2 year full time residency programme & fellow shall not be doing any private practice/ other attachments

Dilomate of national Board is (DNB) is a post Graduate degree which is considered equivalent to MS/MD degree. FNB - fellowship of national Board is a post doctoral/Post MS /Post MD two year specialized Course equivalent to Mch.

FNB arthroplasty, FNB sports Injury, FNB Spine are the various FNB fellowship granted to an institute by Minstry of health and Family welfare
