AIOR Patna - Robotic Surgery by Dr. Ashish Singh

At AIOR we prepare a Personalised Surgical Plan for each patient Prior to Orthopedic Robotic surgery, a 3D virtual model of the patient’s unique anatomy is generated using a CT scan, this will help Orthopedic Doctor see things he or she can’t typically see with an x-ray alone. This valuable information helps doctors determine the optimal size, best placement and required positioning of the implant.

ASSESS Range-of-motion Assessment, throughout the procedure, Mako Robotic Arm provides real-time data to the Orthopedic Robotic Surgeon. This allows them to continuously assess the movement and tension of the new joint and adjust the surgical plan, if Needed.

I am a consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Anup Institute of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation heading the Arthroplasty unit. I joined this Institute in July’2015, and have successfully performed more than two hundred total hip and knee replacements including primary complex joints and revisions of failed hip and knee Arthroplasty.

I have had formal training and fellowships in lower limb reconstruction from, Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, Golden Jubilee National Hospital Glasgow, University hospitals, Oxford and Musgrave Park Hospital, Ireland.

I got the opportunity to work with the Masters in the field of hip and knee Arthroplasty. I have had formal degree and exposure in Computer assisted Orthopaedic systems and perform hip and knee replacements with navigation/robotics. I have done fellowship is revision total knee replacements and have evolved over time to become an Arthroplasty surgeon with a special interest in lower limb adult reconstruction.

I also have a special interest in Pelviacetabular trauma and routinely perform various procedures.
